A Greener Future

Are we headed towards ‘the sunlit uplands’? Perhaps not.

But, if we can work together, there is hope that we might stave off the worst of the #ClimateCrisis. Greeneralia exists in order to facilitate our working together. Of the 8 billion people in the world, some are studying the implications of the climate crisis, some are writing or lecturing about it, and some are dealing daily with its physical consequences.

At the moment, it is those in the tropics who are seeing the most dire effects of the crisis. And, though it is a simplistic generalisation, most of the people studying it live in the temperate zones.

The idea behind Greeneralia is that one way to mitigate the threat is for as many micro-links as possible to be made between the scientists and theoreticians and those living with the extreme temperatures and floods.

If I link to you, that is one link. But it also enables you to connect to my network. And those on my network can discover you and connect to you. Multiply this effect to infinity (or as near infinity as you like or need).

It will be like a bazaar – you offer the knowledge you have from your own circumstances and seek advice from others. They in turn will benefit from learning from you the details of your circumstances in your own community.  And those who are expert in one particular aspect of the crisis will be able to obtain up to the minute information from sources on the ground.
